The first appointment is spent getting to you know you, learning about your therapeutic goals and answering any questions you may have. Your therapist might ask you questions about important relationships in your life, what challenges or stressors you may be facing, and what you do to care for yourself. You are free to bring up anything you’d like to discuss, and do not have to discuss anything that you’re not comfortable with. At the conclusion of the session, your provider will answer any questions you may have, will collect your copay (if you have one) and will schedule your next appointment. Copays are expected at the time of service.
