School-Based Mental Wellness Sessions
In partnership with Des Moines Public Schools and the Saydel Community School District, Ananda offers school-based mental wellness sessions to support the emotional well-being of students within their academic environments.
Currently, services are provided on-site at East High School (DMPS) and Cornell Elementary School (Saydel). These sessions offer students a safe, supportive space to process emotions, develop coping skills, and navigate the challenges of growing up—all within the familiarity of their school community.
School-based sessions address a wide range of concerns including anxiety, grief, behavioral challenges, family stressors, emotional regulation, friendship or peer issues, identity exploration, and more. Therapy is always tailored to the student’s developmental needs, helping them build tools for self-awareness, resilience, and emotional health.
To access school-based services, students and families can connect directly with the East High School Counseling Teamor the School Social Worker at Cornell Elementary for more information and referral support.
We’re honored to walk alongside students as they build confidence, strengthen their inner resources, and feel more supported—both in and out of the classroom.
